Ennio Calabria

Ennio Calabria (1937 - 2024) was active/lived in Italy.  Ennio Calabria is known for Painting.

In 1959 Ennio Calabria participated for the first time the Seventh Quadrennial of Art in Rome.  In 1964 he was invited to the International Biennial of Art in Venice and from 1974 to 1978 was a member of the Executive Council.  In 1985 he exhibited at Gucci's Gallery in New York and in the same year he had his first retrospective exhibition at the Rotonda della Besana in Milan.  From 2002 to 2005 he produced a series of portraits, intense and dramatic, inspired by John Paul II. 

Throughout his artistic career he has received numerous prestigious awards.  In addition to the International Biennial of Art in Venice in 2011 and the Quadrennial in Rome, he has participated in other important events that have brought foreign affairs of Italian art from the 60s to today.  He has produced over 90 posters for the Orlando Furioso by L.
